What is Phowa? Phowa is a profound, functional, straightforward, yet relatively simple method whose mastery enables the student to direct her own consciousness to pure lands, Buddhafields, or to the higher realms at the moment of natural death. Learning Phowa is training in how to joyfully and positively die, which is something we all must eventually do. Since this is the case, learning Phowa is of profound and practical importance.Click HERE for more information on Phowa.
HE Ayang Rinpoche is a Buddhist master and lineage holder of both the Drikung Kagyud and Nyingma traditions of Tibetan Buddhism. Having traveled the world guiding countless students in the theory and methods of Phowa, he is renowned as world’s premier Phowa training master and specialist. This special event will be the only Phowa training intensive retreat that Rinpoche will conduct in the United States this year.
(Please note, this retreat was originally scheduled for July 5-14. That schedule is cancelled, and the event has been moved to its new dates of Sept. 27-Oct. 6. If you have already registered for the previous retreat and have questions, please email phowa@saraha.org, call Ani Tsering at 541-685-0590 to discuss.)
