Become a Supporting Member of Saraha Nyingma Buddhist Institute

"Why Become a Saraha Member?"

Become a member to join the community of Saraha supporters and volunteers in spreading peace, love and Dharma in the world and offer much-needed financial support. Saraha is a registered 501(c)(3) status non-profit organization. So your membership payments are a donation, and should be eligible for tax deduction. Your monthly donation will directly help support the Institute.

"Saraha's Economy - regularity is much needed"

Between our regular daily activities, special events, community outreach and Saraha Children's School we are doing many things now. You can find a record of these events and programs elsewhere on this website. Starting from scratch in 2011, it is really amazing what we have accomplished here in in a few short years.  It is extremely joyful. We want to do even more. With your help we will.

Currently, most of our income comes from either outlying, unique donations, or donations connected with special events at the Institute. Unique donations are wonderful and rare, but special events, although frequent, are economically unpredictable, occasionally not entirely paying for themselves. Expenses of course, including energy, insurance etc., are relentlessly regular and relentlessly predictable. We need to bridge the gap. It is therefore very important to us that we create a stable, ongoing monthly income stream to enable us to pay our basic costs of running the Institute. Straight up, that is why we need your help to become a member and help us create financial continuity and stable base for Saraha.

You can offer monthly by clicking the payment buttons on this page. If you want to create a membership with monthly payment of more than the base rates, please contact the office at (541)359-3588 or email to member@saraha.org to set that up.

The Saraha Nyingma Buddhist Institute was founded in August of 2011 under the leadership of three Tibetan Buddhist teachers: Lama Tharchin Rinpoche, Lama Tsering Gyaltsen and Lama Sonam Tsering.

An account of how this came about can be found in this article published in the Northwest Dharma News online magazine HERE.

Saraha was created as a Buddhist educational and practice facility according the specific vision and intention of its founding directors.
